What is STARS?
The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework developed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). It helps colleges and universities measure and benchmark their sustainability performance across academics, engagement, operations, planning, and innovation.
By participating in STARS, institutions can track progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and share their sustainability achievements publicly.
