Translational Science Laboratory – LEED Silver

Overview

The University of Hawaii Translational Health Science Simulation Center is located at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Webster Hall. The center provides nursing students a hands-on approach to learning outside the classroom. The 8,000 square foot center features an emergency/trauma bay; labor and delivery room; adult intensive care rooms; pediatric and neonatal intensive care areas; ambulatory care rooms; and an apartment for home care for simulated skills training. The center also holds a multi-media room, administrative and operational staff areas, reception, storage, server, restrooms, and kitchenette spaces.

The building earned the LEED Silver rating for integration of low-flow and high-efficiency fixtures, use of low-emitting materials throughout, daylighting, and more.
