Overview
The University of Hawai'i at Hilo Student Life Building is approximately 23,000 square feet and is dedicated to the students of Âé¶¹´«Ã½Hilo. The center houses various fitness resources such as fitness rooms for dance, aerobics, and cardio, an olympic-sized pool, with additional spaces for social interaction such as the open deck and an indoor cafe.
The project earned the LEED Silver rating by incorporating energy-effficient ventilation and daylighting strategies, use of local materials, management of stormwater on the building site, planting of native flora to promote water-efficient landscaping, and more.
