Overview
The University of Hawai'i Science and Technology Building located on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Hilo campus, is a 42,000-square-foot facility that houses state-of-the-art laboratories for physics, astronomy, and chemistry programs. The facility also hosts classes in biology, math, geography, history, and communication and features an auditorium that seats in excess of 140 with smaller rooms of 24 to 60 seats.
The building earned the LEED Silver rating by incorporating a range of strategies and features including installing low-flow fixtures and faucets, efficiently managing construction waste by diverting 75% from disposal, using low-emitting materials, and many more.
