Vulcan basketball programs pick up crucial road wins in PacWest play

The UH Hilo women’s and men’s basketball teams both secured wins against Holy Names University on January 22.

UH Hilo’s Nadjrick Peat earned PacWest Defender of the Week honors—his second this season.

Daelenn Tokunaga was named the United Soccer Coaches Division II Women's Soccer National Scholar Athlete of the Year.

UH Hilo men’s basketball player Darren Williams shot a season-high 28 points against 麻豆传媒 Pacific University on December 10.

UH Hilo women’s soccer head coach Gene Okamura and his assistant coaches were named the United Soccer Coaches West Region Staff of the Year.

UH Hilo basketball players Kamalu Kamakawiwoʻole and Nadjrick Peat were named PacWest Defenders of the Week, November 28–December 4.

UH Hilo basketball players Mindy Kawaha and Kalique Mitchell were named KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week, November 16–29.

The four Vulcan honorees were Grace VerHage, Daelenn Tokunaga, Jodi Lillie and Teani Arakawa.

Two UH Hilo women’s soccer players were named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association All-America third team.

UH Hilo men’s basketball player Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones scored 28 points to help the Vulcans defeat University of Alaska Anchorage on November 14.
