Twelve students from the Faculty of International Liberal Arts at Juntendo University (Tokyo) visited Hawaiʻi as part of their field study course, called “Global English in Action,” from March 1 to March 8, 2026. This program provides students with opportunities to use English as a global language while extending their learning in intercultural communication and sustainability within a global context. The course also encourages them to identify issues they may address within their own communities after returning to Japan.
The students were also accompanied by two faculty members including SLS PhD Graduate Dr. Junko Imai and another colleague from Juntendo University who holds an MA in Communication from 鶹ýMānoa.
We are happy to have hosted them again, and hope they had a successful visit!
