

The University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ Rainbow Wahine team earned multiple honors in the Big West Conference¡¯s postseason awards, highlighted by freshman Kiera Cornman being named Big West Freshman of the Year.
Cornman became the program¡¯s sixth player to receive the award and the first since 2021. In addition to the top freshman honor, she was selected to the All-Big West second team and the all-freshman team after posting a 19-11 record in her debut season.
Leading the way for the Rainbow Wahine, Julia Lawrenz and Izadora Stedile were named to the All-Big West first team following an impressive campaign as the team¡¯s top pair. The duo compiled a 23-8 overall record, including a 21-7 mark at the No. 1 rank against many of the nation¡¯s top-ranked opponents.
Emily Heintzelman and Sydney Miller also received recognition, earning honorable mention honors. Heintzelman, a graduate transfer, finished 20-8 on the year, while Miller picked up her third career All-Big West honor after recording 20 wins across multiple pairings.
Under first-year head coach Danny Alvarez, the Rainbow Wahine concluded the season with a 19-14 record.
