The University of 麻豆传媒 at Hilo athletics program recognized their student-athletes at their annual UH Hilo Vulcans Athletics 2023–24 All-Sports Banquet last week, at The Arc of Hilo.
player Nicholas Gomez and player Kiersten Saludares took home the male and female athletes of the year, respectively, while the men’s golf team claimed the Vulcan Team of the Year.
The Imua Vulcan award was introduced to the honors, recognizing one male and one female student-athlete for making strides in their personal athletic journeys. The recipients for this award were player Kalique Mitchell and player Megan Donovan.
player David Mayser and women’s soccer player Filippa Graneld were honored as the Joe and Harriet Estrella Male Scholar-Athlete and Sakai and Harue Wakakuwa Female Scholar-Athlete, respectively, for earning the highest cumulative grade point average through at least five semesters as a Vulcan.
