The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at Hilo team claimed the 2024 Pacific West Conference Men¡¯s Golf Championship at the Mauna Lani Golf Course on April 17, winning the trophy by a 14-stroke lead.
The Vulcans carried a nine-shot lead, posting rounds of 309-286-303 (+34) to beat Â鶹´«Ã½ Pacific University.
Golfer Nicholas Gomez also received an individual award after a stellar performance. Gomez was the most consistent through the tournament, posting three rounds of 73¨C73¨C74.
The team will participate in the NCAA West-South Regional Championships in Las Cruces, New Mexico, May 9–11.
