
Three University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ campuses, UH West Oʻahu, UH Hilo and UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ will celebrate the accomplishments of their graduates with fall commencement in a year transformed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
UH West Oʻahu
UH West Oʻahu will recognize all the 2020 graduates with a virtual ceremony on Saturday, December 12, 9 a.m. Approximately 350 students will earn bachelor¡¯s degrees in the fall, and will be joined by spring and summer graduates.
The pre-recorded ceremony features remarks by Chancellor Maenette K.P. Ah Nee-Benham, UH President David Lassner, Faculty Senate Chair Edward Keaunui, ASUHWO President Jenna Marie Marcos and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Jeffrey Moniz.

UH Hilo
On Saturday, December 19, UH Hilo will hold a k¨©hei tying ceremony at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom, a virtual commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. and student-only drive-through event starting at 10 a.m.
Approximately 279 UH Hilo students, including summer graduates, will receive their degrees and certificates at the virtual commencement ceremony, which includes a pre-recorded video of the UH Hilo leadership team along with name cards that include pictures and messages from graduates. Each graduate will have a “clickable” student page that displays their degree and certificate types, along with their uploaded pictures and messages.

UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ will post Mahalo Messages from graduates, recorded speeches by PBS Âé¶¹´«Ã½ CEO and President Leslie Wilcox, and this semester¡¯s student speaker, public health PhD candidate Amalie ʻAlohilani Monlux and a PDF of the commencement program on Monday, December 21.
Approximately 1,985 UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ students will graduate this fall, including summer students, and all 2020 graduates will be eligible to participate in a future in-person ceremony.
