What is a Virtual Private Network (VPN)?
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) enables information to travel securely via encryption from one network to another. VPNs are generally used when a person wants to use a computer from a remote site (such as their home) to access enterprise systems, such as Banner. The Â鶹´«Ã½VPN allows users to become part of the secured Â鶹´«Ã½network from anywhere.
When do I need to access a VPN?
Users working from home or any other location (traveling) where they are not on the Â鶹´«Ã½network, will need to first connect to the Â鶹´«Ã½VPN (to get on the Â鶹´«Ã½network) before logging on to Banner.
