Islam in Difficult Times — The Islamic Path to Mindfulness: Understanding Muraqabah

In times of uncertainty and emotional strain, many seek grounding, clarity, and inner peace. This event explores muraqabah—an essential concept in Islamic spirituality centered on mindfulness, self-awareness, and a deep consciousness of the Divine. Through this lens, participants will gain insight into how Islamic practices can support mental wellness, resilience, student success and purposeful living.

Join us for an enriching evening featuring:

Dr. Arif Rahman — Assistant Professor at Hawaiʻi Pacific University, Co-founder and President of Hawaiʻi Straight Path Institute, and graduate student at the Islamic Seminary of America

Omar Rasheed — Co-founder and CEO of RŪH CARE, advocate for mental wellness and community-centered Islamic wellness

Together, they will share practical approaches and spiritual insights on navigating difficult times with mindfulness rooted in Islamic tradition.
