Urgent Safety and Crisis Support

Child & Family Service and partner organizations maintain 24-hour domestic violence support lines throughout Hawaiʻi.

Report suspected child abuse or neglect

Hawaiʻi Child Welfare Services accepts reports of suspected child abuse or neglect 24 hours a day.

Housing, Food, and Community Referrals

Homelessness Help Statewide Office on Homelessness and Housing Solutions

The Statewide Office on Homelessness and Housing Solutions, or SOHHS, maintains a statewide resource guide with regional outreach contacts and information about emergency shelters, eviction concerns, rental assistance, housing, youth services, mental-health support, and other needs.

To begin the process toward housing and related services, use the official page to find the outreach provider assigned to your area through Hawaiʻi’s Coordinated Entry System.

Aloha United Way 211

AUW 211 is Hawaiʻi’s statewide information and referral service. Specialists can help locate food, housing, financial assistance, childcare, health services, disability resources, job training, and other community programs.


Oʻahu Rent, Housing, and Utility Assistance

The City and County of Honolulu Office of Economic Revitalization maintains a current individual and household assistance page for temporary housing, rent, utility, eviction-prevention, and related resources.

Program availability and eligibility can change. Review the official page for current application links, screening forms, and contact information.

Food pantries and emergency food

Use the AUW 211 directory to find current food pantries, meal programs, and emergency food services by island or ZIP code.

Public Benefits and Health Coverage

Use these official programs to apply for food, cash, healthcare, nutrition, and related benefits.

Hawaiʻi DHS: SNAP and Financial Assistance

The Public Assistance Information System, or PAIS, provides online application, renewal, document-upload, and case-information access for SNAP and financial assistance.

Med-QUEST: Medicaid and QUEST Integration

Med-QUEST provides Hawaiʻi Medicaid information and online application access for eligible children, adults, pregnant people, seniors, and people with disabilities.

WIC: Women, Infants, and Children

WIC provides nutrition support for eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum participants, infants, and children under age 5.


Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi Benefits Enrollment Center

The Benefits Enrollment Center provides free assistance to seniors, caregivers, and family members navigating SNAP, Medicare savings, Medicaid, prescription-cost assistance, utility programs, and other benefits.

Employment, Training, and Income Support

Find unemployment information, career support, short-term training, certifications, and workforce programs.

Hawaiʻi Unemployment Insurance

Hawaiʻi unemployment claims are handled through the state Unemployment Insurance Division. Review current eligibility and filing instructions before submitting a claim.

Tips for Applying for Assistance

  1. Review eligibility and document requirements on the official program website before applying.
  2. Gather identification, income records, housing documents, utility bills, and household information when applicable.
  3. Save confirmation numbers, screenshots, notices, and copies of every document you submit.
  4. Respond promptly when a program requests an interview or additional documents.
  5. Ask Bridge to Hope or campus staff for help if you have difficulty understanding or completing an application.
