General Transfer Steps for the University of Hawaiʻi

These steps serve as general guidelines and students are strongly encouraged to talk with an advisor to develop a transfer plan that fits their individual academic goals.

Step 1

Confirm your major and career goals.

Think about what you want to study and what kind of job or career you're interested in. Consider your interests, talents, values, and what makes you happy. Still deciding? No problem! Visit a career center to learn about where education can take you!

Step 2

Choose a 鶹ýcampus that offers the program or major that best fits your interests, goals, and schedule.

Decide if you want to transfer to a 鶹ý2-year community college or a 鶹ý4-year university. Explore majors available at each campus with your advisor or counselor: Degrees and Programs

Step 3

Know the Admissions application deadlines to the 鶹ýcampus that you have chosen.

It is also important to know the application deadlines and admissions criteria for your specific major.

Step 4

Apply.

Fill out the online application for your chosen 鶹ýcampus by the specified deadline. Make sure all the required sections of the application are accurately filled out and gather required documents before submitting it. Submit application materials for your specific major, if applicable.

Step 5

Once accepted, contact your new academic advisor or counselor for guidance and support.

They can answer any questions you might have about the transfer process.
