SLS 130 Class Hosted 2nd Annual “Pidgin Poster Pāʻina” Event!

Earlier this week, our SLS 130 class hosted the 2nd annual “Pidgin Poster Pāʻina” Event! The students had been tasked with documenting Pidgin using “Citizen Science” by observing the use of Pidgin in everyday interactions and recording these through field notes, with the aim of investigating the vitality of these features in their surroundings. They presented their findings through a poster session in Moore Hall, allowing visitors and passers-by to learn more about Pidgin use in our own community!

Mahalo nui loa to all who attended and a hoʻomaikaʻi iā Anne McCarrey (SLS 130 instructor) and Dr. Christina Higgins for organizing and facilitating this event!
