List of Potential Candidates Delivered to Governor
On March 13, 2026, and March 31, 2026, the Council delivered to Governor Josh Green's office a list of candidates for possible appointment to two Honolulu County seats and one Student Regent seat, respectively, on the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ Board of Regents.
A list of five candidates for the Honolulu County seat and three candidates for the Student Regent seat was provided, from which individuals may be nominated by the Governor for appointment to the BOR effective July 1, 2026, with consent of the Â鶹´«Ã½ State Senate, in accordance with statutory requirements.
