9 student-athletes named CSC Academic All-District

Nine UH 惭ā苍辞补 student-athletes have been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic At-Large All-District Team.

UH golfer Josh Hayashida successfully defended his title from last year’s Manoa Cup.

UH 惭ā苍辞补 placed seven football players on Phil Steele’s Preseason All-Mountain West/PAC-2 team.

The UH 惭ā苍辞补 women’s track and field team honorees are Helen Hoadley, Hallee Mohr, Lilian Turban, Tara Wyllie and Amy Warrington.

UH 惭ā苍辞补 discus thrower Hallee Mohr will compete at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials.

Austin Machado hit .351 with four home runs and 48 RBIs, and leading the team and finishing second in the Big West with 19 doubles.

Four players were selected on the first two teams, five players on the third team and three to the fourth team.

Hallee Mohr became the fourth Rainbow Wahine discus thrower to earn All-America recognition.

UH Hilo softball player Chenoa Cainglit and golfer Dylan Bercan were named the KTA Super Stores Superstars for May.

UH Hilo baseball players James Yamasaki, Mason Cook and Arthur Soto garnered College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team honors.
