Kapiʻolani CC chancellor candidates Micheal Glisson, Louise Pagotto and Jeffery Thomas will participate in open forums on Friday, April 6.
The three finalists—Jonathan Osorio, Jon Matsuoka and Katrina-Ann “Kap¨¡” Oliveira—are scheduled to participate in UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ campus visits.
The position was announced locally and nationally on January 5, 2018, and the expected start date is July 2018.
A local, national and international search will be opened and the committee hopes to begin screening applicants and nominees by the end of February 2018.
The three finalists—DeLacy Ganley, Nathan Murata and Michael Sampson—are scheduled to participate in UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ campus visits.
The current dean, Donald Young, will be retiring at the end of the year.
Carl E. Lewis, Tom A. Ranker and Rakan A. Zahawi and finalist for the position of Harold L. Lyon Arboretum director.
Alexander Smits, Vimal Chaitanya and Andrew Szeri are finalists for dean of UH Mānoa’s College of Engineering.
Lassner to continue as interim chancellor for the next two years, as the search closes without an appointment.
The forums gave each finalist an opportunity to introduce themselves and their visions and gave students, faculty, staff and the public the opportunity to ask questions.
