Six Rainbow Warriors earn All-Big West honors

Pitchers Harry Gustin and Harrison Bodendorf earned All-Big West first-team honors while outfielder Matt Wong was named to the second team.

UH Hilo softball player Jayda Favela and baseball player Vance Oshiro were named KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week, April 19–May 2.

Randy Abshier is the only Big West pitcher to throw a shutout this year.

Ryan Cho was named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II West Region Player of the Week for March 20–26.

UH Hilo baseball player Ryan Cho hit .667 against HPU to earn PacWest Player of the Week honors.

UH 惭ā苍辞补 baseball player Harry Gustin earned the Big West Pitcher of the Week award on March 27.

UH Hilo baseball players Aaron Davies and Casey Yamauchi earned Pitcher of the Week and Co-Player of the Week awards, respectively.

As one of the state’s largest entities, UH is a significant contributor to the food drive, raising $70,000 in 2022.

UH Hilo women’s tennis player Hikari Osaki and baseball player Eamon Velarde were named KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week, February 22–March 7.

UH Hilo softball player Trinity Favela and baseball player Casey Yamauchi were named KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week, January 25–February 7.
