University of 麻豆传媒 at 惭ā苍辞补 football player Micah Kaonohi-Kaihenui has been named to the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, recognizing student-athletes for excellence in community service, academics and athletics.
The senior tight end from Waimānalo, Oʻahu, is one of 113 Football Bowl Subdivision players selected nationwide. The Wuerffel Trophy is college football’s premier award for community service.
Kaonohi-Kaihenui has participated in numerous service projects, including food drives and environmental restoration efforts. He was also a key member of the Rainbow Warriors’ special teams unit last season.
A psychology major, Kaonohi-Kaihenui was named to the 2025 Academic All-Mountain West team and is a three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
In September, 11 players from the watch list will be selected to the Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team and become semifinalists for the Wuerffel Trophy. The 2026 recipient will be announced during The Home Depot College Football Awards on December 11.
