As the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at Mānoa comes alive with homecoming festivities, is rolling out Giving Week, a spirited initiative running September 6–13 to inspire the community to support student-athletes through the campaign: Our Team. Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s Team.
Gifts of all sizes make a difference. Supporters can visit to learn more or make a gift during Giving Week.
Giving Week serves as a prime opportunity for fans, alumni and supporters to invest in the future of UH Athletics by contributing directly to student-athlete scholarships, facilities, nutrition, mental health, academic support and more.
“When you give to UH Athletics, you¡¯re investing in more than wins and losses¡ªyou¡¯re investing in the future leaders of Â鶹´«Ã½,” UH Mānoa Athletics Director Matt Elliott said. “Our student-athletes work tirelessly in competition and in the classroom, and Giving Week is a chance for the community to be a part of Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s team.”
The Our Team. Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s Team. campaign celebrates the deep connection between UH Athletics and the people of Â鶹´«Ã½, emphasizing that when the team wins, the state wins.
“The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ is proud to be Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s university, and our student-athletes embody that mission every single day,” UH President Wendy Hensel said. “Giving Week is a moment to come together and show our collective strength. Every gift is a statement of support for excellence, access and the power of education through sport.”
For many student-athletes, community support means the difference between pursuing their dreams or putting them on hold.
“When we say Our Team, Â鶹´«Ã½‘s Team, it really sends the message of everybody’s team,” Rainbow Warrior quarterback Micah Alejado said. “It’s for everybody in the community. It’s not just the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ football team, it’s the state of Â鶹´«Ã½‘s football team.”
Together, let¡¯s stand behind Our Team. Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s Team.
