University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ shortstop Jordan Donahue was named Big West Player of the Week after a career performance that helped the Rainbow Warriors clinch a spot in the Big West Championship tournament.
Donahue went 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBIs and three runs scored in Sunday¡¯s win over UC San Diego. His grand slam in the third inning broke the game open, and he followed with a solo home run and a double.
Over the weekend, Donahue batted .500 with eight RBIs, two doubles, two stolen bases and helped the team to an error-free night on defense. He also had a key two-run single in Thursday¡¯s series opener.
Donahue’s performance led the Rainbow Warriors on one of the most consequential series in recent history, as the winner of the series would have clinched a spot in the Big West postseason.
