
In honor of the 2024 Merrie Monarch Festival, the will host an array of cultural enrichment events open to the public through Friday, April 5. Highlights of the celebration include a captivating Hawaiian quilt exhibition, live music and workshops on lei making, hula and cultural protocols.
Documentary films will be screened showcasing works from Hawaiian filmmakers. Free live broadcast viewings are scheduled at UH Hilo¡¯s University Classroom Building and the Campus Center. Attendees can also enjoy cultural activities and Hawaiian food.
The majority of events will be held at , an educational outreach center located on campus. Others are scheduled to take place at Campus Center Plaza and Mookini Library¡¯s lānai (veranda).
