University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at Hilo player Filippo Di Perna and player Malia Risdall earned KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week awards for March 7–21.
Di Perna, a freshman, notched both doubles and singles victories to help the Vulcans earn two points in a 4-1 win over No. 15 Midwestern State University on March 15. Additionally, his singles victory against No. 35 Metropolitan State University of Denver on March 19 was the Vulcans¡¯ lone point across their last three matches.
Risdall, a fourth-year pitcher, earned her first career win with a complete-game performance in a 4-2 victory over Azusa Pacific University on March 14. She also followed up with another complete-game victory in a 5-4 win over Holy Names University to help the Vulcans to a four-game win streak.
