U H Manoa women golfers

The University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Mānoa placed 15th at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate following Sunday¡¯s final round at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Colorado.

The Rainbow Wahine carded their best round of the tournament with a 298 to finish at 902. Vanderbilt University captured the team title going away with a 839 total, 20 strokes over runner-up Xavier University (859) while University of New Mexico¡¯s Napat Lertsadwattana and Tulane¡¯s Carla Bernat shared medalist honors at 10-under 206.

UH¡¯s top finisher was sophomore Mayumi Umezu who posted a final round 1-over 73 to finish at 1-over 217 for the tournament and a tie for 18th place.

Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were Hyeonji Kang (225, t-57th), Wendy Song (229, 68th), Monica Johnson (239, t-84th) and Kralyn Salazar (241, 88th).

UH will next host the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, October 24-26 at Kapolei Golf Course.
