The University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ team began the 2022 season with a team win at the Big Wave Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course on September 3. The Rainbow Wahine also claimed the top three spots in the meet¡¯s individual results.

Senior Caelan Miller placed first overall in a meet for the first time in her cross country career, crossing the finish line at 19:00.3. Last year, Miller finished in fourth place with a time of 19:53.92 in the same event.

Last year’s Big Wave Invitational winner, senior Sophia Morgan, came in second place with a time of 19:19.6. Freshman Keilah Wilkes claimed third place in her first career collegiate meet, with a time of 19:35.7.

“Today was a good day for us,” said Head Coach Tim Boyce. “The first meet of a season is always difficult, but we know it’s setting the pace for the season, so we know what we need to work on. But today went as well as I could have hoped for. We’re all very happy with how today went.”
