
The (CSLIS) has appointed University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Mānoa’s Vanessa Irvin as a CSLIS Fellow for 2015–16. The assistant professor of was recognized for her tireless work in helping to define CSLIS as a founding member of its steering committee. The selection committee explained that “a part of the center is now and always will be based on Dr. Irvin’s unique contributions.”
During her tenure as a CSLIS Fellow, Irvin will be a member of the steering committee and will continue advancing the center’s agenda for librarianship. She will also facilitate valuable cooperation between the library and information science programs and faculty at and the . Additional scholarly activities may include a research presentation at a CSLIS-sponsored event and an opportunity to publish a research paper that will be available as an open-source publication in the CSLIS online repository.
CSLIS answers the call for research, collaboration and ongoing discussions about topics and issues specific to library and information science. CSLIS researchers and practitioners are continuing the evolution of library and information services in today’s technological world.
