General Overview
What is happening between December 11 and January 3?
Â鶹´«Ã½is upgrading the Student Information System to eBanner. During this period, Banner and its connected systems will be offline as data and integrations are transitioned to the new system.
³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ«
Will ³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ« be down while Banner is offline?
No. ³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ« will remain open during normal business hours. However, student and course information will not update from Banner between December 12 and January 3.
Will my lesson plans and course materials be accessible in ³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ« during the Banner outage?
Yes. You will still be able to access your lesson plans, materials, and other course content.
Will faculty need to enter grades in both Banner and ³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ«?
Yes. Grades must be entered in both systems during this period. Â鶹´«Ã½will revisit a better integration between ³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ« and eBanner after the system cutover.
Grades and eBanner
Can I enter grades before December 11 and have them transfer into eBanner?
Yes. Grades entered in Banner on or before December 11 (by 5:30 p.m.) will be carried over into eBanner. However, all relevant policies and grading regulations still apply.
STAR
Will STAR be available during the Banner shutdown?
Yes, in view-only mode.
STAR will connect to a static copy of Banner starting Saturday, December 13, allowing users to view—but not change—data until the new system launches on January 3, 2026.
System Integrations
Which systems send or receive data from Banner and ODS?
- ³¢²¹³¾²¹°ìÅ«: Receives data from Banner.
- Kuali Financial System (KFS): Both receives data from and sends data to Banner.
- PeopleSoft HR: Integrates directly with Banner.
- ODS: Sends data to the Course Evaluation System and Ed Sites.

Integration Timeline
What are the key dates for system integration?
- December 5th to 11th: System Integration connections will be turned off
- Dec. 13 (around noon): STAR will connect to a static copy of Banner in view-only mode.
- Jan. 3 (8 a.m.): New data connections will be activated for eBanner and related systems.
