Fear and Misery in the Third Reich follows the lives of everyday citizens during Hitler’s rise to power. Through a series of interconnected playlets, this show dramatizes the erosion of ordinary life under Nazi rule and illustrates how a pervasive atmosphere of suspicion and anxiety can infiltrate households and fracture community bonds. Although this anti-Nazi play is over 90 years old, Bertolt Brecht’s warnings are more urgent than ever, as it serves as both a historical record of totalitarianism and a call for collective resistance against the normalization of violence and cruelty.

Content Advisories: This production contains depictions of life under a totalitarian regime, including antisemitism, staged violence, loud gunshot sounds, and intense psychological distress. Recommended for mature audiences, viewer discretion is advised.
