Lecture by Saree Makdisi: The Aesthetic of Denial in the Era of Decolonization

Saree Makdisi is the co-host of the Makdisi Street Podcast and Professor of English at UCLA. He is the author of, among other books, Tolerance is a Wasteland: Palestine and the Cultural of Denial (2022), Making England Western: Occidentalism, Race and Imperial Culture (2014), and Palestine Inside Out: An Everyday Occupation (2010). He regularly writes on Palestine and university politics for venues including The Nation, the Los Angeles Review of Books, N Plus One.
