Re-thinking Higher Education Internationalization

February 12, 1:30pm - 2:45pm
Mānoa Campus, Moore Hall 319

Dr. Sachi Edwards is an international scholar and educator, and a lecturer in the departments of Sociology and Educational Foundations at 鶹ýԴDz. Dr. Edwards will speak about her research related to the internationalization of higher education and some of the unique ways this global phenomenon manifests in Japan. Around the world, universities are attempting to “internationalize” and national governments are pursuing policies aimed at internationalizing their higher education sectors. At the same time, amidst the global rise of ethno-religious nationalism, there is growing resistance against internationalization. (Please see the flyer for more information.)
