The effort to maintain individual disciplines within the three academic units in the face of softening enrollments and limited resources is less than ideal for tackling these challenges and for the exploration of established and new areas of inquiry for which the University of Hawai\u02bbi at M\u0101noa is uniquely placed to develop and support.
