Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions
The project developed and revised curriculum using a multicultural foundation and perspective in support of student learning and embedded service learning within the curricula to address the needs of the Native Hawaiian and local communities. The project also established a faculty and staff development program to facilitate the incorporation of indigenous perspectives in curricula and support services to increase Native Hawaiian student success. Lastly, the project developed a comprehensive catalog of Hawaiian resource materials through the use of technology to increase access to Hawaiian language and curricular resources for teaching and conducting research in the Hawaiian language.
