Kekaulike: A Collaborative Partnership between UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ and UH Maui College
Kekaulike is a?cooperative grant between the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ and the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ Maui College. The project includes three overarching activities:
- Activity 1 of the Kekaulike grant includes the establishment of a L¨¡hui Â鶹´«Ã½ Research Center, to include an annual conference, workshops, think tanks and the creation of a student-led journal in years 3–5.
- Activity 2 of the grant focuses on the transfer pipeline from UH Maui College to UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹, to include an annual Summer Bridge Program, a pre-transfer learning community and a UH Maui College Native Hawaiian Faculty and Staff Advanced Degree Fellowship program.
- Activity 3 supports place-based learning experiences for UH Maui College and UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ students through the support of internships and field schools like Mauiakama.
