Addressing your students’ needs is critical to ensuring a successful higher education experience. That’s why the University of Hawai’i partnered with findhelp to launch the 鶹ýStudent Basic Needs website: a database of over 2000 resources to address student’s needs. In addition, the university established an infrastructure to address student needs at the campus level, harnessing survey and search data to strategically develop interventions in response to students’ unique needs. At this webinar on June 10th 2022, University of Hawai’i and findhelp will share methods for identifying the basic needs of students, understanding the resources available to meet their needs, and developing infrastructure to address basic needs inhibiting student success.

To help the 鶹ýcommunity better understand basic needs insecurity in the student population, UHBNC has invited to present data from the , the nation’s largest, most well-established assessment of students’ basic needs insecurity. Goldrick-Rab is a professor of sociology and medicine at Temple University, the president and founder of the and is a leading expert on student basic needs insecurity in higher education. The webinar will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 10:30–11:30 a.m., and address key findings from the 鶹ýSystem. Registration is required.
