The Hannah Liebreich Merit Based Award in Teaching is important because it honors outstanding graduate students, reminds the campus that teaching is a central part of the university\u2019s mission, and can inspire students and professors to give increased attention to the educational process.<\/p>\n

Yuka Matsutani, PhD student in SLS, was one of two students selected for this $5,000 award.<\/p>\n
