SLS PhD alumni Ann T. Choe (2023), Susanne DeVore (2022), and Yang (Sunnie) Liu (2023), as well as current PhD student Kristen Urada, have recently launched the beta version of GOALL<\/a>. An acronym for “Great Online Activities for Language Learning,” the web app utilizes theory in Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to help intermediate and advanced adult learners of language by using everyday real-world scenarios. The app currently supports Mandarin Chinese only, with plans to add more languages in the future, as well as a mobile app.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
