New incoming students in the Department of Second Language Studies have been participating in various orientations and information sessions, including a general department orientation on Thursday, August 17th, and program-level orientations for our undergraduates, MA students, and PhD students throughout the first few weeks of the new academic year. Once again, we’d like to welcome our new SLS students, and wish them a successful academic career here at UHM!<\/p>\n

On behalf of the SLS Student Association (SLSSA), we’d also like to invite current students, alumni, and friends of SLS to the annual SLSSA Retreat, to be held on Saturday, September 23 at Ala Moana Beach Park from 10am to 5pm.
