These positions include academic titles such as professor, associate professor, assistant professor, instructor or <span class=\"glossaryLink \" aria-label=\"Lecturer: An individual employed for short-term teaching assignments, usually on a part-time basis.\" data-cmtooltip=\"An individual employed for short-term teaching assignments, usually on a part-time basis.\"><span  aria-label=\"Lecturer: An individual employed for short-term teaching assignments, usually on a part-time basis.\"  data-cmtooltip=\"An individual employed for short-term teaching assignments, usually on a part-time basis.\" class=\"glossaryLink \">lecturer<\/span><\/span>. Candidates for research positions hold advanced degrees or have training and work experience at levels equal to advanced degrees.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Specialist<\/strong> &ndash; perform counseling and other professional non-research specialized work that is auxiliary to instruction or research programs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Librarian <\/strong>&ndash; include reference librarians, technical services librarian<\/li>\n<li><strong>Extension Agent<\/strong> &ndash; include junior extension agents, assistant extension agents, associate extension agents, and county extension agents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the above <span  aria-label=\"Faculty: Includes positions typically requiring an advance degree, such as instructors, researchers, specialists, librarians, and extension agents.\"  data-cmtooltip=\"Includes positions typically requiring an advance degree, such as instructors, researchers, specialists, librarians, and extension agents.\" class=\"glossaryLink \">faculty<\/span>, the University also employs graduate assistants and lecturers for teaching:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Graduate Teaching Assistant <\/strong>&ndash;
