What We Do
The System Sustainability Curriculum Coordination Council (SSCCC) features faculty representation from all ten UH campuses. As authorized under , System Sustainability, the SSCCC provides coordination, support and advice to the campuses regarding scholarly, scientific and community-engaged research projects in sustainability. Another critical role of the Council is to support curriculum development oriented around sustainability by supporting faculty in efforts to develop new sustainability courses, certificates, and degrees and to more effectively integrate sustainability principles and concepts into existing courses and programs. The SSCCC is also periodically tasked with reporting to the Board of Regents on campus sustainability efforts in the areas of curriculum, research and community engagement.
