She never would have guessed that several years later she would be intimately involved in the Hawaiian language movement.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Kalili is known for her work with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahapunanaleo.org\/\"><span aria-label=\"Aha\">&#699;Aha<\/span> P&#363;nana Leo<\/a>, a nonprofit, family-based educational organization devoted to revitalization of the Hawaiian language. Most recently, she\u2019s recognized for her trailblazing work in bringing Hawaiian language to mainstream television.<\/p>\n<p>While her career has no doubt expanded over the years, her primary goal has remained the same&#8212;to promote and encourage the use of <span aria-label=\"olelo\">&#699;&#333;lelo<\/span> <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>. After graduating with her bachelor of arts and bachelor of <a href=\"http:\/\/business.uhh.hawaii.edu\/\">business administration<\/a> from <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> Hilo, she went on to work for <span aria-label=\"Aha\">&#699;Aha<\/span> P&#363;nana Leo.<\/p>\n<p>Kalili later went on to receive her masters of business administration and juris doctor degree through the joint degree program offered by <a href=\"http:\/\/shidler.hawaii.edu\/jd-mba\">Shidler College of Business<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/jdmba-joint-degree-program-0\">William S. Richardson School of Law<\/a> at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa. She then returned to <span aria-label=\"Aha\">&#699;Aha<\/span> P&#363;nana Leo to serve as executive director.<\/p>\n<p>While at <span aria-label=\"Aha\">&#699;Aha<\/span> P&#363;nana Leo, Kalili was offered a unique opportunity to put Hawaiian language on mainstream television as part of Kamehameha Schools\u2019 2007 Song Contest broadcast on <abbr>KGMB<\/abbr>.
