The UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Nursing Alumni Association <\/a> hosted the 2019 Alumni Awards and Scholarship Fundraiser in April. More than 180 guests attended to honor 2019 Nursing Alumni Hall of Fame<\/a> inductees Mimi Harris<\/strong> and Gail Kanegawa<\/strong>, and the two 2019 Outstanding Young Alumni recipients, Andrew Moats<\/strong> and Jennifer Morita<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Additionally, nursing master\u2019s student Kanoe Tani <\/strong>and nursing student veteran Christopher Davis<\/strong> spoke about the impact of scholarship on their lives. <\/p>\n

The alumni chapter raised $28,800 to support nursing endowed scholarships and student awards.<\/p>\n

Harris is the chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care for The Queen\u2019s Health Systems. Kanegawa is patient care lead coordinator at Kaiser Permanente.<\/p>\n

Moats is the chief nurse executive and director of hospital operations at Straub Medical Center. Morita is a family nurse practitioner at Waiʻanae<\/span> Coast Comprehensive Health Center and Kaiser Permanente. <\/p>\n
