The Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Business Roundtable and the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> will host the fourth annual Future Focus event<\/a>. This year\u2019s conference is The Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Innovation Initiative\u2019s Forum on Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security, Cybersecurity and will be held October 10–11 at the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Convention Center.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong><\/a> will be one of three Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> university presidents opening the conference with a discussion on preparing students for the future innovation economy.<\/p>\n

“The Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Innovation Initiative is one of our four strategic directions and can only succeed through valuable partnerships like our relationship with the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Business Roundtable,” Lassner said. \u201cThe Future Focus Forum is intended to raise awareness in the community of the many sectors in which we have opportunities to stimulate an innovation economy that creates great jobs for our next generation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The forum will feature presentations, interactive panel discussions, “poolside chats” and a networking reception, offering attendees opportunities to learn more about emerging technologies, research and ways to engage in, and contribute to Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s growing innovation and technology industry.<\/p>\n
