The five finalists are scheduled to participate over a two-day period of visits on the M\u0101noa campus. The visits include department discussions; meetings with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, and internal and external constituents; and a public presentation.<\/p>\n<p>Campus and community members, as well as the general public, are encouraged to attend. <\/p>\n<p>The campus visits of the five candidates have been scheduled as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ian Ferguson, visiting October 29&#8211;30, 2018 <\/strong><br \/>\nProfessor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and Department of Economics -Entrepreneurship and Innovation<br \/>\n(Former Founding Vice Provost and Dean of Engineering and Computing)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mst.edu\/\">Missouri University of Science and Technology<\/a><br \/>\n<em>Public Presentation:  Monday, October 29, 12:00&#8211;1:00 p.m.\/<abbr title=\"Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Education\">C-MORE<\/abbr> Hale Conference Center (East-West Road)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Karlene Hoo, visiting October 31&#8211;November 1, 2018 <\/strong><br \/>\nDean of Graduate School and Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montana.edu\/us\/\">Montana State University<\/a><br \/>\n(Former Associate Vice President for Research, Texas Tech University)<br \/>\n<em>Public Presentation:  Wednesday, October 31, 12:00&#8211;1:00 p.m.\/<abbr>C-MORE<\/abbr> Hale Conference Center<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Joseph Hughes, visiting November 8&#8211;9, 2018<\/strong><br \/>\nDirector, A.J.
