While the storm has weakened significantly, it is important to remain prepared and not be lulled into a false sense of safety. Rain bands will likely bring more flooding and damaging winds to the islands.<\/p>\n<p>The University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> will continue to monitor Hurricane Lane. Currently, all <abbr>UH<\/abbr> campuses and offices on <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Island, Maui, <span aria-label=\"Lanai\">L\u0101na&#699;i<\/span>, <span aria-label=\"Molokai\">Moloka&#699;i<\/span>, <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> and <span aria-label=\"Kauai\">Kaua&#699;i<\/span> are closed through Sunday. The First Hawaiian Bank Volleyball Challenge at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Hilo resumed action today (Friday) after being postponed on Thursday. Play will continue through Sunday. A decision on <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa athletic events scheduled for Sunday will be made later depending upon weather conditions and facility availability.<\/p>\n<p>For those students in our residence halls, you will receive more specific communications and instructions from your respective student housing office.
