The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Bookstore<\/a> is kicking off the school year with a new student-designed 2018 Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> (HI<\/abbr>) Pride T-shirt.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s winning design comes from UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa student Akira Vernon<\/strong> from Honolulu. Vernon received 565 votes for his T-shirt design that represents what Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> means to him—a tropical place where he grew up and that he loves. His design features a monstera leaf pattern inside the HI<\/abbr> Pride.<\/p>\n

The annual HI<\/abbr> Pride T-Shirt design contest is held each spring and is open to all UH<\/abbr> students. Semi-finalist designs are put online for the public to vote on.<\/p>\n

The 2018 HI<\/abbr> Pride T-shirts will be available for purchase in all UH<\/abbr> Bookstores on August 13. The T-shirts will be available in black and all UH<\/abbr> System campus colors.<\/p>\n

Students with a valid UH<\/abbr> ID<\/abbr> are eligible for a discount on the first T-shirt they purchase. Reusable bags featuring this year\u2019s design will also be available.<\/p>\n
