Lyon Arboretum<\/a>, the only university botanical garden in the <abbr title=United States\">U.S.<\/abbr> located in a tropical rainforest, is celebrating its centennial year (1918&#8211;2018).<\/p>\n<p>To commemorate the anniversary, the arboretum is holding a <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/lyonarboretum\/centennial-hoolaulea\/\">Centennial <span aria-label=\"Hoolaulea\">Ho&#699;olaule&#699;a<\/span><\/a> from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, to kick off the year\u2019s planned events. The community can enjoy a full-day of festivities that includes entertainment, food trucks, arts and crafts, games, exhibits, tree climbing demonstrations and tours of the gardens.
