“To receive this recognition so soon after launching DisasterAWARE Enterprise is both an honor and a reward for years of hard work pioneering uncharted territories,” said Â鶹´«Ã½ Executive Director Ray Shirkhodai. Releasing Â鶹´«Ã½’s innovative technology for private use was no small task, requiring collaboration of Â鶹´«Ã½and state legislators to consider new policies and joint Â鶹´«Ã½ and Kaazing efforts to scale the platform and services for enterprise use. “The fruit of our collaborations is that now we can offer to the private sector tried-and-true risk intelligence technology used for decades to protect the public.”

Kaazing CEO Bob Miller said, “For some time, we’ve understood the importance of this work, but to have it recognized by a third party like Compass Intelligence so readily is inspiring.”

Miller said businesses continue to struggle with uninsured damage and lost revenue from record-setting natural disaster losses in 2017, and that Kaazing and Â鶹´«Ã½ are now at the forefront of helping businesses turn a corner using the “best-of-breed risk intelligence, predictive modeling and global hazard monitoring” for business management and continuity planning worldwide.

“We are excited at this recognition of our center for innovation in science and technology in disaster risk reduction,” said UH President David Lassner. “This new partnership will promote broader corporate and community resilience by expanding the reach of DisasterAWARE technology beyond the existing base of users. We are delighted to receive such a warm reception to the marketplace.”
