The <a href=\"http:\/\/militaryfriendly.com\/schools\/\">2018&#8211;2019 Military Friendly&#174; Schools list<\/a> is published in the May issue of <em>G.I. Jobs<\/em> magazine.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Leeward CC has a growing military and military-dependent student population, representing approximately 12 percent of our student body,&rdquo; said Chancellor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/leadership\/manuel-cabral\/\"><strong>Manny Cabral<\/strong><\/a>. &ldquo;We are honored to be recognized for the support we provide, including our Veteran\u2019s Resource Center and all the dedicated faculty and staff who provide support and encouragement.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Military Friendly&#174; Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly&#174; Schools survey from participating institutions. More than 1,400 schools participated in the 2018-2019 survey with 941 earning the designation.<\/p>\n<p>Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by Victory Media with input from the Military Friendly&#174; Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.
