Richardson School of Law)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>News happenings and aesthetics have whimsically merged at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/\">William S. Richardson School of Law<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/library.law.hawaii.edu\/\">library&#8217;s<\/a> third annual art show, &ldquo;Currents,&rdquo; featuring 26 artists offering 46 works.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit, on display during library hours through May 13, is an eclectic mixture of photographs, paintings, drawings, fibers, woodblocks, collages and even a psychedelic work evoking the 1960s by artist Blaise Domino, who began his career more than 50 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Many other pieces include artistic commentary on current events.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In an important way this is a vivid response to current events,&rdquo; said Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/personnel\/soifer\/aviam\"><strong>Avi Soifer<\/strong><\/a> in remarks at the March 22 opening reception. &ldquo;Much of the art has the added benefit of being lovely and\/or provocative at the same time.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit was organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/person\/brian-r-huffman\"><strong>Brian Huffman<\/strong><\/a>, electronic services librarian, with assistance from the library&#8217;s faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>See the full story on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/article\/law-library-art-show-\u201ccurrents\u201d-features-variety-and-commentary\">School of Law website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8212;By Beverly Creamer<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The eclectic exhibit is on display at the William S.
